Thanks for contacting Appigo. We should clarify, each sync service is slightly different. Therefore, there may be discrepancies between sync services and data back-up. The following webpage describes which sync services properly backs-up subtasks:

However, the subtasks become independent tasks with no association to the original Project or Checklist. We hope this answers your question.
