Count me in as wanting this feature too. I do exactly what Carlito does. I use the tags for designating the status of an item. This way I can show undated items as actionable, without showing ALL the undated items. Like Carlito, I cannot use the tags for other things. Also, when using Toodledo, instead of using the Status menu, I must actually type in the status in the tag field for each individual item.
I hope you guys can come up with a good solution. Your product is the best one out there and I think this feature, by more closely approximating the GTD methods, would really put it even further ahead of the competition.
