If I'm understanding the situation, it's likely the interaction
between Toodledo and ToDo. Unless you're paying for the premium
service, you won't get sync support for sub-tasks. Synching tends to
detach and scatter your items, making it a mess when you re-open ToDo.

Do a search under "Toodledo" you should find multiple reports of this
type of behavior. I got caught with the same interaction too.   ;-)
