I found the same thing happening after I upgraded to Snow Leopard. Appigo Support suggested that I re-install Appigo Sync; I did this, and also deleted the iCal calendars previously created by Appigo Sync so a new authorization and sync could re-create them. Now, sometimes sync works and sometimes it doesn't.
One work-round I've used is to make sure I have a current backup of the iPhone (in iTunes) =before= I try to use Appigo Sync. Then, if the sync fails, I can right-click on iPhone device in iTunes and choose "Restore from backup" from the contextual menu. It's a bit of a pain, but much easier than reconstructing all the recurring tasks.
