We use ½ bushel card board totes that are custom printed with our name, address, web site, and phone number as well as art work. They fold together easily and are sturdy. We sell them to customers for 75 cents each which is slightly more than they cost us. Greater than 95% of our customers use them and are happy to have them as they make great storage boxes for the garage, etc. afterwards. Some people do return with them as well to use again. We also use the boxes for peaches. We find that there is less bruising of the fruit in the boxes and since all of our fruit is sold by the pound, the boxes offer consistent taring of the scales. So we are going to try the plastic bag "sleeves" which fit into the basket - when they come in you pull out the sleeve/bag and put it on the scale and they're on their way - at least I hope it works that way.
