You will find information on the web regarding trunk scoring that may
interest you.  I studied it while at Michigan State and have tried it on
varieties at our place.  Timing of application to the tree, however, is
critical to the success of the outcome.

Would someone care to divulge a recipe for getting slow-to-bear
varieties into production sooner.  I have Northern Spy in mind using
Ethrel or NAA or combinations.  Apogee perhaps.  Other techniques?
