I almost always get a dropped face look when, at a
farmers market, I tell a customer that the pesticide I
am forced to use on his apples in order to maintain my
organic certification is more toxic than the
"chemical" alternative.
I am able to convince my small part of the buying
public of the lies surrounding the hype of organic
apple growing but as long as the main stream press
continues to broadcast/publish the misconceptions
surrounding the hysteria of organics then the
thousands and thousands of customers I miss leaves me
feeling more than a little helpless.
Continue the battle.

The 'Apple-Crop' LISTSERV is sponsored by the Virtual Orchard
