I've seen quite a bit of variation in fruit shape and growth habit ("weeping" factor) among old Limbertwig cultivars, but since they usually have a lot of lenticel spotting, I'll go out on a limb and guess Virginia Limbertwig. All Limbertwigs I've eaten have had a very coarse/dense texture that would be a good clue, but I need to get a sample to be sure!
