We advise every row spraying because of the spotty coverage with alternate rows. Growers with very clean orchards get by with alternate row spraying at the beginning of season, but it’s risky. However, we do advise to “split risk” for scab spraying: i/e alternate rows ahead of dubious rain forecast and within rain spray (germination window sprays) if rain comes and might lead to infection.
