I had queried several Mac online user groups, as well as this Apple2List on
one problem that plagued me for years, but never got a response. I was
never able to Index SELECTED folders or files. I could only Index complete
volumes, and that took so much time that it was largely impractical. Mac
Help carefully explained that to Index selected folders or files, you just
Control-Click on the Icon, and choose from the Contextual Menu. But my
Contextual Menu never included that option!

I just updated from OS 9.0.4 to 9.1. Now this option DOES appear in my
Contextual Menu. This one feature has made it worth the trouble to update
to 9.1.
