With my 2 Apple ]['s safely in storage 4000 km's away, but still wanting that Fix every so often, I've been investigating emulators for Linux.
I'm currently running xmess (www.mess.org, the Multiple Emulator Super System), originally for NES and GameBoy emulation, but I see it also emulates the Apple ]['s (except for the //gs, AFAIK). So, is there any place I can go do download abandoned or copyright-free software to try out this emulation, and get my Apple ][ fix? I realise that this could be considered "warez" by some people, but if the software has been abandoned, or is so old that I couldn't buy a copy if I wanted too (and could find one), then I feel it is better to use it than to loose it (possibly forever). Also, anticipating the return of my Apple's in the future (as well as all the software I have for them, sitting on 5.25" floppy disks hopefully not suffering from too much bit-rot), is there any way I can copy to-from Apple disks? Thanks very much, and I appologize if this is too off-topic or controversial, Listmom. :) Adam -- Apple2list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Apple2list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/apple2.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/apple2list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
