I need clean text files ported from a Mac. I used something called
PURITEXT on the mac side to strip the resource fork - or so it claims.
But the file type shows as $00 rather than TXT on the IIc, so the file
won't work.

Is there anything on the Mac side that can do this?  Getting 'unforkit'
is problematic for me as I am not fully set up on IIs anymore...
