I've got three 3.5" Apple drives (not the Unidisks) and six 5.25" Apple single drive units. I've got a ROM 01 IIgs and I want to put two 3.5" drives and two 5.25" drives on it. From my research I should be able to do this. However, I seem to only be able to get three drives to work. If I put one 3.5" right off the back of the IIgs and then daisy chain two 5.25" drives off the 3.5" all three work. If I throw in a 2nd 3.5" right after the first 3.5" then only the two 3.5" and the first 5.25" drive work. The 2nd 5.25" is not recognized. I've tried various combinations using all the drives I have available with the exact same results. Is this the way the IIgs works, three drives max off the built-in drive port?
