I am looking for some good books/tutorials/code to learn 6502 assembly. I have found S-C Assembler a very intuitive program and I have Programming the 6502 by Zaks, but Zaks is a bit hard to understand, although people swear by him. I am looking for a book or two that is a bit more of a straight forward HOWTO. The S-C manual suggests these:
6502 Software Design, Leo J. Scanlon 6502 Assembly Language Programming, Lance A. Leventhal Programming & Interfacing the 6502, With Experiments, Marvin L. De Jong Real Time Programming -- Neglected Topics, Caxton C. Foster Apple Machine Language, Don & Kurt Inman How to Program Microcomputers, William Barden, Jr. Using 6502 Assembly Language, Randy Hyde The Rodney Zaks 6502 Collection (I have the first) Apple IIe Technical Reference Manual The Apple II Tech Manual was just thrown in there because I really want it. If any of you have a desire to relieve yourselves of these books and/or can tell me if they are any good, I would be much grateful. Thank you.
