I had a 1400cs, 166. I up graded it to G3 400. You might want to see if
that up grade from Sonnet is still available.

I have a working 1400 that I use all the time. It is a 133. I have another
non-working 1400, ... 166. When I fire the 166 up, it quickly over heats. In
fact, by pulling the memory, I can spot evidence of overheating.

My son is pressing me to change processors out, so mine would be 166 upgrade.
It appears to me, though, that the processor chip would be the likely cause of
the overheating. I simply cannot chance putting the 166 chip in mine, to see if
it would work.

What do you think? Am I being a bit paranoid or are my misgivings, ....
justified? I can no longer sit for long periods in a computer chair. Oh for
the glory of after-retirement plans going astray, when changes in your health
redefines your assumptions.
