A friend of my mother's told her that her husband had some old apple computers I might be interested in, so I called him, somewhat nervously ("Your wife said you had sonme old computers you want to give away" is something I can imagine being the wrong thing to say to some people.) But he did indeed have some old computers and was willing to part with them. So now I have:

Apple IIe - enhanced by owner
Cards:
AIIe EXT. 80COL/RBG Rev 3
Grappler +
MicroModem II
Super Serial Card
Disk II card
Numeric keypad

Apple ][
Cards:
Buffered Grappler + card
Apple Communication card
ROM card - with a switch in the back (I think this switches between AppleSoft and Integer Basic
Disk II card
and some kind of (homade?) gizmo hooked up to the paddle connectors.

He said that somewhere he had the hardware and software to run a weather station with the computer and I can have it when he finds it - seeing his basement, it may be awhile.

With them I got disk drives and two monitors, an apple composite color monitor (with the apple logo on the lower left rather than on the right where I'm used to seeing it) and an Apple III green monitor.

The IIe and the green monitor work, I don't know yet if the others do.

Anyway, that's my story
Margaret
