It is an Apple ][ with an autostart ROM card. When I plugged it in it came on but the switch is broken. Can it be repaired, maybe by replacing the power supply? It was used once to run a weather station and I hope I can get the hardware and software used for that and get it running again. The man I got it from is a retired high-school science teacher.
I was surprised that both computers had modem cards since the schools here were did not have extra phone lines until very recently. I suppose they were used for some kind of data transfer rather than a phone line connection.
