Ah, so that's what it is about.  Actually, that's the one thing
about the Apple II community which has always driven me up the
wall.  I'm here because I enjoy old computers.  Not buying every
new gadget which comes out does not imply support or non-support
in any sense, contrary to the opinions of some memebers of the
community.  It simply means that I have to justify the purpose and
the price.  Buying a 4 MB card when you don't have a use for one
violates the justifying the purpose.  And, quite frankly, your
justification of using it to copy floppies strikes me as hollow
(the original poster has a hard drive, so it could just as easily
be cached on the disk as in RAM).

The value of a product is largely a judgement call which has to be
made by the individual, and not by other people (never mind salesmen).
We don't really know what the needs of this individual are (aside
from wanting to use the hard drive), we don't know how interested
they are in the IIgs, and we don't know what their financial
situation is.  In other words, presenting all of the options (not
just one) would be fair game.
