Now that brings back memories! It probably has been over 20 years
since I used a tape recorder with an Apple ][, but I seem to recall
that after hitting the RETURN key, you had to start the tape player
going. At the beginning and end of the file, there is a tone that 
tells the computer when the file starts and when it finishes. If you
can start the track at the right time, it seems that it should work!

Interesting. I know that my old tape player that I used with the 
Apple ][+ died due to old drive belts. It would be interesting to 
be able to use it with a CD player.
