Sounds like you may be ok and didn't kill anything. Once you get a disk
we'll be able to tell for sure.
There are other ways of using your //e too--for example, I use mine with a
serial card and a modem to connect to my ISP's unix shell to text-surf the
web, read email, etc. AppleWorks (not available as freeware) is still my
favorite word processor, and of course tons of games and utilities.
