New Report Claims Video Game Violence, Aggression Link
Just when you thought it was safe to play video games again, a new report out
in the journal Pediatrics claims to cinch a link between violent video games
and increased hostility in young children and teenagers. It's authors aren't
wasting any time making the media rounds, either. Speaking to The Washington
Post this morning, the report's lead author Craig Anderson, an aggression
researcher who teaches psychology at Iowa State University and runs its Center
for the Study of Violence, said: "We now have conclusive evidence that playing
video games has harmful effects on children and adolescents."

Early reports say the pre-beta Windows 7 is looking good
Journalists who went to Microsoft's Professional Developers Conference picked
up pre-beta copies of Windows 7, and several have reported on it. Bear in mind
that this preview version isn't feature complete, doesn't have the final
interface, and still contains a load of debugging code, so you can't judge the
performance. However, since Windows 7 is likely to ship on more than 200
million computers a year from 2010 onwards, even incomplete information is
interesting.
