Not sure as I never use that feature of reportbug but rather have a look directly at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=aptitude;dist=stable IIRC bug reports against stable are just kept open, if they either have a tag "squeeze" (currently) or are of RC severity. One such case is e.g. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=451137 That's why I wanted to tag them.
