Hi,

After almost 7 years since this happened and using ancient versions of
the software, and after a quick review of the open bugs and seeing
that there are no other bug reports related to this one, I don't think
that it makes sense to follow-up this bug report now, so closing it
now.

If the underlying bug is still present it will probably be fixed with
the help of backtraces or something helping us to go more directly to
the problematic code.

Sorry that the bug report was not handled in a more timely manner and
thanks for it and the information provided.
