Package: aptitude
Version: 0.6.0.1-1
Severity: important

Hi,

this is on a uptodate sid system. Today:

$ sudo nice ionice -c3 aptitude -W --allow-new-upgrades --allow-new-installs
--purge-unused --full-resolver -f full-upgrade
[sudo] password for grfz:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Reading extended state information... Done
Initializing package states... Done
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::out_of_range'
  what():  basic_string::basic_string
Aborted

whereas a safe-upgrade did its job.

I created an aptitudes-state-bundle. Tell me if you are interested in this.

Ciao, Gregor

Hi,

The people involved (reporter and aptitude maintainer) could not
reproduce it at the time, when the information were more fresh and
other conditions would be more favourable to try to reproduce it (e.g.
similar dependency versions). It happened in a system using unstable,
adding to the problem of finding out the versions of dependencies to
see if they were at fault.

Therefore I think that it's time to close the bug report, doing it
now. Please reopen if you observed similar behaviour since then,
though.

Cheers.
