Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

Trying to hit 'B' to upgrade a packegae that seems to need upgrade after I
installed some other package (systemd and libpam-systemd IIRC)

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

nothin, it crashes. Tried to "forget pending actions" but didn't work

   * What was the outcome of this action?

     nothing, upgrade still impossible

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

well, to be able to upgrade my package :-)

Hi Stefan,

The key to upgrade a package in aptitude's curses interface is '+', not
'B', 'B' is to report a bug on that package (a feature with many
problems and that perhaps is removed soon).

So:

- does upgrade work when you press '+'?

- do you still see crashes with 'B'? This code hasn't changed for years
and it works fine for me, but maybe it indeed crashes if reportbug is
missing or depending on interactions with other components of your
system.

Closing now. Please reopen if you can still reproduce the issue.

Cheers.
