Dear Maintainer,
Every so often, aptitude fails to update (with 'u') properly. When
figuring out how to properly report this, I tried using update on the
command line. Here is the result:
$ sudo aptitude update

The problem is solved by running apt-get update. After this, aptitude
update works just fine.
