One can see apt-get's error messages pound the user over the head,
whereas yours are not only not the final words, they are almost lost
in that debugging stuff that you can turn off by as the default now I
suppose.

In my opinion, aptitude's messages as they appear above are noticeable
enough.
In any case, since many years/versions ago the other messages are not
printed, so this should be even more noticeable.
I tried to reproduce for 15 minutes but I failed to, because I updated
the list too recently. If this still displeases you, please reopen the
next time that it happens and paste the current output.
