Hi, Bank of America (California) recently made a change to their online banking service that prevents GnuCash users from using aqofxconnect to download transactions:
OFX: General error (Online Banking does not support the version of software that you are attempting to use. Please contact Bank of America at 800-792-0808 or visit bankofamerica.com for more information.) A thread over on the Moneydance forum suggests that this was a deliberate act sanctioned by BoA "official policy" so it's unlikely to be reversed: http://moneydance.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189474467/0 That same thread also reveals that a workaround was introduced to Moneydance that enabled Moneydance users to continue using the service (I'm just guessing, but perhaps by spoofing Microsoft Money when connecting to BoA?). Would it be possible to configure/alter aqofxconnect in some way to provide a similar workaround for GnuCash users trying to use BoA online services? I'm sorry that I cannot provide more detail on the exact nature of the problem - I'd be happy to do more debug, provide logs etc. if someone can tell me how to enable them.
