Ah, so GnuCash looks into the certs storage but doesn't update it.
So in your case you might just use QBankManager once and et QBankManager 
update the certs cache. After that GnuCash should be able to find the cert in 
the cache.

No, it changes a value in the local representation of the certs cache. To 
actually store the changes in the file it should save the cert cache (i.e. 
there should be e function in GnuCash which writes back the changes to the 
cert cache).

Again, this is already handled in AB_Gui so it works automatically with all 
other applications except GnuCash...

Since GnuCash is reading the certs cache directly it should also write it back 
in order to update the certificate cache.

Normally yes, but GnuCash uses its own management for debug output. Somewhere 
there is a menu item in GnuCash which let's you turn on debugging messages.
