Seriously, I didn't know that about the HP 710, etc.....but
a lot of scanners have recently seemed to be going that way....
and, even things like my Phoebe External Moden, blatantly push
the W95/98 connection......
I find something like this....I noisily refuse to buy it
and create discomfort all around....and call/write/email (all
three, so they get the point that I'm serious) the company
that excreted it.....and remind them that the fastest selling
"real" operating system is Linux, followed by FreeBSD, and the
fastest selling OS, overall, is DOS, in all its variations.
There you go...you got me up on my soapbox....
