Two pence worth!
As I sit here at my IBM (yes, a real one!) using Arachne, I have to
point out Arachne is faster than Netscrape on this machine overall, but
not as fast as IE4 or Opera. I suspect this is due to the ISP being
geared to IE4/5 as it's main browser rather than the fact that Netscape
or Arachne are themselves inherently slower.
Netscrape is also incidentally rubbish here at loading teh ISP's home
page, www.freeserve.net and takes fits of stopping the load halfway
through when it hits the photo jpg that the ISP tends to put in and
change regularly.
Don't blame the browser every time, sometimes it's the ISP
