Hello all,
I have 148 KB Dos Memory when I start Arachne. I find that
this goes down a bit as I visit web pages, etc., but if I
stop and check my email, it returns to 148. Before I got
my system optimized a bit to the 148 level, I was making
do with about 80 KB to start, and often that would drop
below 50 and into the red. Some web pages visited would
require more, apparently, and as I recall, Arachne would
crash. Now, with 148, I have a much more stable Arachne,
and can surf without much problem for as long as I want.
On this subject, I'm sure some of you have more than
the 148, and I would like to hear how to do that. One
item that comes to mind is using an older version of
DOS. I have 6.22.
