This intrigued me so I downloaded DLNX-E03.EXE and tried it.
It certainly is an amazing change.
ATTN MICHAEL:
The install program, being text based and .bat driven was incredibly easy and
fast to use AND MODIFY !
And after I deleted the revolting setscrn calls in DLNXDIAL.bat the appearance
was very pleasing (to me).
On line, and locally, it is blindingly fast because it does not have to deal
with graphics. I don't mean just the communication delays due to the reception
of images, I mean the screen is in TEXT mode and very fast.
It isn't, however bug-free yet, and there is some apparant lack of utility.
Thomas, how does one use DOSLYNX for things like Arachne quick chat ?
Or, if I wanted to download a plot of a particular stock price v.s.time,
how do I specify what stock I'm interested in ?
On Arachne chat for instance, you can read all the posts but when stepping thru
the links there is a blank spot (with no link displayed) just before Robin Soft.
This is where I assume one would post - if one could figure out how to do it.
I tried just typing and got no response.
