Well, Got it loaded eventually by importing the various .acf files from 1.50b2/3. Seems to work ok on e-mail. Don't know if I like the surfing with it though. Page loads ok if I keep moving the mouse? and is definitely faster doing this, BUT some of my own pages which ARE HTML 4.0 certified now do NOT load but stop in the middle, shell out from arachne to WIN95 and ask me some question about (I think) CWEDISP and whether or not I want to make a shortcut to it!
