Hello again;
I forgot to point out the obvious.
This version of Arachne is FINALLY faster than my Netscape 2.02 on this
hardware as far as loading and rendering goes. <VBG>
There still is a (very) BIG difference with things like screen refreshes where
Arachne seems to do a complete re-interpretation while Netscape just re-paints
the screen. Just doing a page down takes the same time in Arachne as the initial
load- say 5.5 seconds - while Netscape does it in about a third of a second.
That's 18 times faster !
We don't need new code here, just new logic. :-)
