Hello all, I have Arachne 1.60b1 installed on this computer, and in the usual 5 minutes or so. Upgraded from 1.50 s.r.c. Prior to the installation, tests were conducted on this machine using NS 4.08 and MSIE5.0. Both were really slow on this computer, and when the tests moved to Arachne 1.50, the bootup and download were considerably faster. Now I have 1.60b1 installed, even faster. I have epppd loaded high, and am using: [TCP/IP] IP-Address BOOTP With DOS 6.22 I have 613KB free conventional memory, and 127KB showing in ALT-M when Arachne 1.60 is running. In config.sys I am using: device=c:\dos\emm386.exe NOEMS HIGHSCAN to provide sufficient free upper memory to allow my epppd to LH. No problems with this installation. Arachne 1.60 really allows these old computers to get those web pages in a timely manner, compared to the bigger win browsers.
