Hello Michael D.,
1.60b1 has problems in initalizing some graphic adapter (ET4000, VESA).
Until we have a new beta you can do what Clarence mentioned before:
>From a prior arachne version, with your working graphic adapter, copy file
ARACHNE.PCK (saved video mode) to 1.60b1. Don't run SETUP.BAT, because it
overrides ARACHNE.PCK !! This way I've got my ET4000 running at
800*600*256 and 1024*768*256.
