On Monday, "Lars Wigrell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> typed:

 ] Sorry for using M$OE ;-)

At least you're not a stupid user... You managed to turn HTML mail
off. :)

] but I've just discovered that it is compatible with
] Arachne. I saved an message recieved with OE onto a diskette, and then
] successfully read it in Arachne. Likevise I saved an Arachne message onto a
] diskette, renamed it to *.EML (that's *.CNM in Arachne :-), and from "This
] Computer" Windows identified it as an "Outlook Express e-mail" file.

Any file with the extension .EML will be called that. Try any
extension that windows knows about:

all .ht will be hyperterminal, all .doc will be WordPad or Microsoft
Word. Even all .HTM files will be "Microsoft HTML Document version
4.0" [or similar] if you have installed IE4, or "Netscape Hypertext
Document" if you have installed Netscape. This is just a registry
thing. BTW, registry hacking is fun. I have added many great things
to my right-click menus. :)

] So, it seems to be possible to move messages back and forth between those
] two. Just give it a proper extension. :-)

Have you tried opening that .EML file yet? (Double click it... I bet
it will say something like invalid format)
