YMMV. :)
I find PDFTOTEX invaluable. With List it allows me to read pdf
documents very quickly in DOS without having to load windoze and
start Acrobat.
PDFIMAGE extracts the images from pdf files if required.
PDFTOPS would print them if only I had a PS printer.
(As an aside... does anyone know of a DOS ps-to-pcl (laser) convertor prog?)

What 12+ char. dirname? My files live in \xpdf.
All 4 utilities (pdftotex, pdfimage, pdftops & pdfinfo) run perfectly
on my msdos 6.22 486 box.

Run the standard version, not the 386+ version.
It might not be useful as an Arachne plug-in but as a utility I
think it's invaluable.
