Yes - I had exactly the same problem as Clarence with XPDF. Silly
directory names, wanting DPMI (what?), wanting GZIP.... Has anyone
got 0.9 to work on DOS 5.0? What's the secret?
I've been persevering with Ghostscript 5.1 for looking at these PDF
abominations, but it's losing its grip and won't handle some files that
have unknown characters or encryption. Also, it doesn't seem as though
you can actually pan around and skip from page to page on the screen -
although the laserjet printing function works quite well MOST of the
time. But who wants to print out a 200-page data sheet just to read one
paragraph....
It's high time that we had something for reading them - it's getting
so that everyone publishes everything using them now.
