OK, Let's see if we can figure this thing-out...<g>

I will insert into this message, another Arachne .TBS file.
_This_ message itself has no attachments.
The message inserted into the body of this one will have attachments.
(I'll then place "dash + space" at the start of each line in the inserted
.TBS to prevent it from messing-up anything)

As you can see... Arachne/Insight is doing the job correctly.
X.bat was encoded.
xdotbat.txt was not encoded.
(xdotbat.txt is the result of..... copy x.bat xdotbat.txt)

"content-type" for each file shows file-type and file-name
"content-ID" shows where the file was located on my system
"content-description" shows file-name, file-type and file-size(kb)
"content-transfer-encoding" shows encoding for that file
(as you can see, no "erroneous" characters were inserted into the files)
(x.bat is a 25 byte file)

In the headers of the message....
"content-type" for the attachments is properly shown.
"boundary" for the attachments is properly shown.
"content-type" for the message as a whole is properly shown.
"content-transfer-encoding" for the message as a whole is properly shown.

All of this is in compliance with the accepted internet mail transport
standards.

There is nothing wrong with the way Arachne/Insight is working.

To verify that my conclusions are correct:
