Interesting thought, but why not extend that operation to the
cache? That is rather more likely to be taking up disk space
than the trash.
One really useful feature of Netscape is that it automatically deletes
files from the cache. Of course, I have no idea how
difficult that would be to implement with Arachne. But it would be
really nifty to have the cache monitored automatically.
