Hi Glenn and Roger,
<<Glenn McCorkle: Shouldn't that be go:pppconnect ???
[ Response4 \u/noint/go:pppcon\r ]
Only the first six characters are used in Compuserve "GO" words
on CompuServe Classic, so either way is fine.
[NameServer 149.174.211.5
[ AltNameServer 149.174.213.5
<<Arachne can _properly_ use the CS DNS.>>
Those are the correct nameserver addresses for when you
log into a CS dialup account and bypass the CS service
using GO PPPCON. There are others in the pool, but those
are the two that they keep up :)
<<Roger Turk:
<<Response2 CPS\r <--Change to: CIS>>
They're basically the same, although the CPS is often less
used so you may get a bit better response.
<<Response3 @? <--Change to: 0062,2437/noint/go:pppconnect
WaitFor4 ID: <--Delete
They're optional but suggest they be left in
as is. They feed back on screen the connect speed
and the CS Port Node address you're connecting on.
Also, there's no need to put your UserID Or password
literally in the dial script, the \u tells Arachne to
use what you put on the PPPusername line
<<Response4 \u/noint/go:pppcon\r <--Delete
WaitFor5 rd: <--Rename WaitFor4 ord:
Response5 \p\r <--Rename Response4 \p>>
These should all be fine as is.
[tcp/ip]
<<AltNameServer 149.174.213.5 <--I have this as: >>
As ??? <g> the 149.174.213.5 is one of the 'regularly supported'
ones for CS dialups.
