Does your "cache" directory exist?
Do you have Cache2Temp Yes? Or is it No?
Did you inadvertantly change the "files" line in config.sys
How about the "buffers" line?
Do you have enough environment space?
Try using 1024 bytes..... SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM C:\ /E:1024 /P
