The only thing which is different is the behavior of InSight. I put off
installing new HDD, installing NIC & cable modem, splitting to multi-OS
setup on the system ... because I was waiting for v1.6
What it is in InSight I can't say. But whatever it is, it is in the
file as included in 1.6 ... cuz I went to the downloaded file and
totally installed a new setup of Arachne from it. And InSight had
problems with that setup too.
CMOS hasn't been changed, because that is password protected -- and
because my son knows he'd be out in the street on his donkey if he
tried to screw around with that sort of thing.
Newest version of F-Prot said active memory and everything on Internet
I: drive was clean.
I tried it without ncache, and went back to using ncache, and the result
was the same: I can't reply to mail, the index & move buttons are
missing.
Even the date hadn't changed between when it was working and when it
stopped working.
And the 'can't reply' problem is not just within InBox ... it is also
all the other mail folders.
