I misspoke when I said there had been no changes made to my system &
setup; I had removed win3.1 from the path. However, putting win3.1 back
into the path doesn't solve anything.
One person sent a snip of a message about reconfiguring MIME.CFG ?? to
take advantage of memory available ??? and/or to force Arachne always to
swap ??? I couldn't make heads nor tails of it.
AFAIC, I should not have to reconfigure anything to get Arachne to start
working again. If it worked before it should work now.
However, I desperately need full function in InSight and will try almost
anything short of kissing BillyGate$'s donkey.
The message I referred to above said something about the values sitting
in square brackets for InSight withing MIME.CFG ... things like the
[130] [110] or whatever I show in my MIME.CFG ??? Is that of which the
message spoke?
The message seemed to imply that either those numbers could be made
larger [which I don't think I want to do, since when searching I often
end up running out of conventional memory] or something else could be
done to force InSight to use xSwap every time.
What do I do to force swapping? Not that I think this is a memory
problem, since there was no problem before ... but if that work around
makes it possible for me to access MIME.CFG from InSight or to "open"
the various htp files Insight needs, I'll at least try it.
I'm tired, frustrated, running out of time ... so please, make any
queries specific and any tips/hints very basic step-by-step so I have a
chance of understanding.
Help!! Please, help!
