Hello Linux Users
I have recently set up a machine (pentiium 133) with linux 6.0 complete
operating system.
Does anyone know how to stop linux at the bash prompt during bootup. (hotkey) I
would like to be able to choose either x or bash during boot without having to
run xconfigurator. Last time I tried this I lost my exit commands from the x
logout box. (how can I get these back without reinstalling).
I do plan eventually to attempt to setup Arachne through dosemu but I think I
would like to familiarize myself with with the system a bit more before I
attempt this.
I like the software and the way it runs, just have to sort out a few little
things like the one above. And setup rescue disks when learn how .
Very different to what I'm used to frustrating at first but now that I'm
learning a bit (very little bit so far) about it it is becoming less so.
I have had a couple of lockups while using x and kde unable to access xkill
and nothing else works only choice is to power down cntrl, alt Del doesn't work.
And after reboot exit commands are gone again. Several times this has happened
although not so much since changing from cyrix machine to intel machine .
