I have accounts at two ISP's. One quite small, another medium size.
The founders and head honchos of both have acknowledged to me in
phone calls that access from DOS "should be possible" and one high
school kid who was working in tech support for the small, farm town
ISP said that he had heard of Arachne.
So, all is not lost.
