Yes, I waited for the "cache killed" on the first go-round.  Thought
that was clearly stated, but that part of message didn't get quoted.

If I hadn't let Arachne "do its thing," the results would not have been
worthy of posting.

And it's never taken a full minute to kill the largest cache file [other
day realized as I was backing up drive that I'd left 2Mb+ in cache ... but
with space to spare I wasn't going to stop the process & start over from
scratch] ... SCSI drives are *so* much faster than IDE. <G>  And unless
someone is foolish enough to have set up a "don't delete these when I
tell you to delete them; put them in trash can #2 like dozeware, I don't
see where disk caching would even come into play with a DOS level DEL
*.* command.  Did I miss something?
