Hi all,
the most annoying bug vanished at last (some times I've got feeling
being the only who encounter the bug ;-).
My short 1.60 report:
1. Installed in two steps, because selfinstaller was abnormally terminated
(silently). The rest was smooth. But it again did'nt recognize fast PC
(Vitex, it's AMD K6-350 on this end).
2. Had to tune my DOS memory management (from 540 to 601 largest
executable), because with green 92 when offline Arachne just died
silently after connection. Now I've geern 114 when offline and black 86
when online (and green 99 writing this offline!?).
In 1.50 src the numbers were green 73 offline and red 54 online.
3. IMHO internal editor is more UNIX compatible then DOS - if I wrote some
HTML source in DOS editor (LEXICON in my case), in internal editor the
source lines are pasted together :(.
4. When resending a message we still lose CC contents.
5. It's (or she) is more speedy than 1.60, but I must steady wake it by
pressing cirsor key (<-) or/end moving mouse. So it's speedy and sleepy
in the same time :(.
CAUTION: all in the above report was monitored/observed when running
Arachne in MS DOS 7.02 (=WinDOwS 98).
